I have to say I was a little disappointed by The Bible. I've seen many reviewers call it 'life changing' and promise that it contains profound wisdom and divine knowledge, as well as it being 'the best selling book of all time', but I wouldn't go as far with my praise. The Bible is comprised of two shorter stories with one recurring character who appears regularly to tell the other characters how ... read more
This is truly the Book of all Books. Whether you believe its contents (as I do) or not, one cannot escape the influence of this book which, along side Homer's two mighty Epics, has been the foundation of every other Great work ever produced.
The themes in this book are many and varied, ranging from Love and Hate, to Sex and Politics, indeed every sphere of life is covered in this bo... read more
If counted as a single book, the Bible is one of the best-selling publications in history. But the fact that there are so many versions reduces its impact and makes for a lot of arguments between fans. If you thought the Kirk vs Picard debate was bad, try religion. Christian Bibles alone range from the 66 books of the Protestant canon to the 81 books in the Ethiopian Orthodox Bible. However this v... read more

"The book of my faith: the most inspirational, poetic, all-encompassing literary work ever conceived. God's word inspired and spoken to men and women whom shared with the world the Greatest Story Ever Told! Sometimes in a whisper and sometimes with a lyrical trumpet. It contains historical fact, sweeping romance, cherished proverbs... it's all here... and every word is the undeniable, absolute truth!"

Not that I'm a fan of the guy. He's just a lot more fun to draw than other Biblical characters due to the suspect obsession with his demonic image that the artists of antiquity always seemed to have."

Christian Bibles alone range from the 66 books of the Protestant canon to the 81 books in the Ethiopian Orthodox Bible. However this version is one of the best and most widely accepted, so if you are going to dip your toe in, to see what the fuss is about, this is perhaps the best one to start with.” read more
“My life manual, The word of God. Fantastic poetry, insane stories, full of prophecies and facts. There is not much else to say. If you don't find it life changing, then I don't know which parts you are reading of the 66 books. Sure here and there some parts might "bore" someone, but there's so much more to that. You really have to read in between some of the lines for some of the chapters.
Genesis stands out in the Old testament deals with the creation of the earth, Adam and Eve, the fall of man, genealogies and The Flood.
The Proverbs and Psalms are the most poetic and awe-inspiring, heartfelt, insane pieces of literature ever assembled.
The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are really crucial in understanding how important and significant Jesus is to” read more
“It is beyond ignorant to treat The Bible like any other book you can just rate and review. The Bible is a Holy book from God. It's a novel, a biography, etc., all at once. If only one book were ever written this would be it. It is the most important work there is.” read more

The Bible is comprised of two shorter stories with one recurring character who appears regularly to tell the other characters how badly they're messing up.
It starts off with some Sci-fi elements, as the character 'God' creates the universe within a week and then stuffs it full of great and wonderful things. I think it's worth noting that God is also the author of this book, which I thought reeked of egotism, but I let it slide. We're then introduced to two other characters, a man and a woman, who don't get much in” read more
"Many editions of the Bible have also been banned and burned by civil and religious authorities throughout history. In 1551 in Spain, the Inquisitorial Index of Valentia forbade Bibles in Spanish or any other vernacular. Banned from import in the Soviet Union from 1926 to 1956; official directions to libraries stated "The section on religion must obtain solely anti-religious books. Religiously dogmatic books must be left in the large libraries, but removed from smaller ones". Import of the Bible "
“I dont consider the bible as a book if not as the word of God. Some people think its just the best book of al times, true, but i consider the bible as the book of life... The truth of the world is written in it, and God talks thru it. Im christian and in the bible theres everything u need to know to go to heaven, or to hell... its you're desicion. The bible is reality, truth, consuming fire, and the word of God.” read more
