Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 8: #1 - Joss Whedon

After finding out that there would be a season 8 of one of my favourite shows, in comic book form, I was intrigued, but not sure whether I would buy it. But then I found two stores locally which still had copies, so I broke down and decided to buy it (I do own all seven TV seasons on DVD, so might as well!). I couldn't wait to read this first issue, but when I finally got a chance to do so, I wasn't as thrilled as I had been told I would be. The story is interesting, the artwork is excellent, but so far, the story is not doing enough to keep me entertained. But, perhaps this is because I am used to the show, and am not much of a comic person. I am planning to keep buying the comics, and have hope that it will all come together nicely. The thing about changing the world… once you do it, the world’s all diferent El cambio de medio es complicado. Además del guión y la dirección, las actuaciones eran una de las cosas que hacían a Buffy tan especial. Para alguien que no está acostumbrado a leer comics, la falta de actores que interpreten las emociones que el guión transmite puede hacerlo sentir menos real. Pero tanto Joss como Jeanty (el tipo que hace los dibujos) se las arreglaron para que todo resulte más familiar. El arte (y no, no entiendo nada de esto) es un equilibrio entre como se veian los actores y como deben verse los personajes en un comic. Es realmente muy bueno.
