"This one sometimes gets mixed reviews. Apparently, even Moore himself has admitted it wasn't his best. OK, maybe it isn't mind-blowing, but it's a single issue. It's a real challenge to tell a complete, beginning to end story in a single issue, much less something compelling, different, and containing some degree of literary merit. I feel like this story accomplishes that. Not to mention Brian Bolland's art, which is practically flawless. I especially like his re-colored version. This also inclu"

"Story: Possibly one of my favourite Joker stories to date; if not my very favourite. Allan Moore writes a very smart and funny & of course twisted take of the Joker.
Artwork: Probably my most favourite artwork in a Batman issue; Brian Bolland does a real great job, with really colourful drawings. I also do like the Black & White sections of the Jokers past."
