Born in 1922, Blake Edwards’s early directorial efforts included an acclaimed adaptation of Truman Capote's Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961) starring Audrey Hepburn. His collaboration with English actor Peter Sellers on the Pink Panther films were beloved by the public. He also found success with 10 (1979) and Victor Victoria (1982), the latter of which he revived in 1995 as a Broadway musical.
