Adam Rippon is an American figure skater. He is the 2010 Four Continents champion and 2016 U.S. national champion. Earlier in his career, he won the 2008 and 2009 World Junior Championships, the 2007–08 Junior Grand Prix Final, and the 2008 U.S junior national title. Rippon was selected to represent USA at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. This makes him the first openly gay American athlete to qualify for any Winter Olympics.
